One of my favorite holiday traditions is to make cloved pomander ornaments for the tree. Pomander balls go back to the 15th century, when they served as natural air fresheners for closets, drawers and whole rooms. We hang them on the outside of our front-hall closet for decoration—and, of course, for that beautiful citrus-spice smell that warms the room. I have used aged cording on these beeswax N'clove drenched pomanders which I also rolled in dried clove. Perfect for the tree or hanging all year long to scent a room.
