Simply Primitive  Early Lighting dark Mud Brown Vermont Maple Settler's candles on an aged rod. These darling VERMONT MAPLE hanging candles are handmade by me using 100% aged Beeswax. These candles are heavily scented in my own special blend of Vermont Maple with a hint of Spices. I make these so that they look really old and grungy and then I roll them in my own spice mixture for that added primitive touch. If you like the EXTREME primitive then this is for you. The candles may appear shiny but they are NOT. This is from the camera flash and not the candles. When I made these candles I made sure to leave extra wick at the end so not only is it twisted and knotted to stay but I have also cord stitched each candle to the wire. These candles are about 7" long and 1" wide at the base. The aged rod is 10" long and the hanging wired to it is about 5" off the rod so the entire piece is a really nice 12" long. You can cut the candles from the wire, trim the wick and use them. They will burn just fine.  These candles are a welcome decoration to any traditional primitive or colonial home. I have hung them on a door, and a peg as well as placed them on an old antique cutting board. They can be used in just about any display. Made "almost" like they were in a day gone by so long ago.
